What is the way to find a spiritual master?

Many people say, 'When the student is ready, the Master appears.'

I feel this was true in my case.

However, this can be a tricky idea.

How will he find you?

Will he somehow knock on your door or send you an email when it's time to find you?

Not likely.

We also can’t sit back in our easy chair, thinking, “Oh, the Master will come when I am ready.”

You have to stir the pot, kindle the flame, turn over a few stones.

In this way, you are creating a ripple in the field, backed by your intention to find the one that can take you further along.

Someone may recommend a spiritual master, you may see a post online, or you might see a poster in a bookstore.

Try different methods. Do you feel a shift in yourself?

I tried many things early on. But when I met the Master, who happened to be a very real, adept Master, everything took off at lightspeed.

If you feel significant shifts in meditation, or a deep peace beyond words, you are likely on the right road.
